ment and enhance each other. The burley works as a matrix or substrate, framing and rounding out the pairing. It burns super cool, no bite, lots of flavor, medium-full in body. I did need a few relights and had to drain the gurgle a few times, but at the end of the session my bowl was left bone-dry with no moisture. And there wasn't any heel or dottle, just a fine grey ash. Finally, without virginia one might expect a powerfully pungent room note but, quite the opposite, the burley makes it very inviting. Tuggle Hall is NOT fancy, it's not sophisticated, it's not innovating or breaking new ground -- instead, it feels like kicking off your shoes and putting your feet up at the end of a long work week. It's an unpretentious take-me-as-I-am comfort blend that doesn't take a gourmand's refined palate to enjoy. had no idea what an English was supposed to smoke like, but this experience was both unexpected and pleasurable. A couple hours after an evening meal, this blend put a perfect cap to my evening. I can imagine as I experience more blends in the future, that I’ll come back to this one, time and again. Opinions vary as to how closely Tuggle Hall resembles the classic Dunhill blend, but we can more than suspect the blender's intent. In an earlier day Craig assigned name and number to each blend; Tuggle Hall was, of course, #965.

a tad strong. The thing that makes this unique and less like 965 is the burley content and lack of oriental. The Perique is almost undetectable. This is heavy in Burley and light/mudium in Latakia which is why I say its more of an English in the American sense. It isn't bad, but does have a roughness and pepperiness from the perique that isn't what I was looking for in a 965 style blend. Read Less
