Cornell & Diehl - Tuggle Hall 2oz
Burley from a newbie perspective
This blend is so eye opening, it’s amazing. I’m fairly new to pipes (cigars for years) and I thought I knew what burley was, due to many do the lighter aromatics containing various amounts. That was, until I smoked a bowl of Tuggle Hall. I really had no idea what an English was supposed to smoke like, but this experience was both unexpected and pleasurable. A couple hours after an evening meal, this blend put a perfect cap to my evening. I can imagine as I experience more blends in the future, that I’ll come back to this one, time and again. Only a half star taken off from the several relights I had to make, but we’ll chalk that one up to inexperience with a cool smoke.

Cornell & Diehl - Bourbon Bleu 2oz
Pretty Solid Start
I pulled the cake out of the tin and mason jarred it for about a month before I tried this and to my surprise, is was very pleasant. While the room note was a little strong and the leathery-burnt smell hung around for a bit it was an enjoyable smoke, albeit a little hot. Like others have already stated, I think I'll let this one mature a little more before I try it again. Overall, I enjoyed the taste and thick robust smoke.
