About This Pipe
It's been pretty much universally accepted that at the heart of every Eskimo/Ukulele/Sarcophagus, there is a rhodesian or bulldog within. When I look at this decidedly modern and elegant interpretation of the rhodesian from Alex Florov, I see a few hints of the Eskimo here and there. Elements such as the liquidity and flow of the underside of the shank and the dramatic flare at the mount that is well met by the bit. From there, however, we are on to an exotically flavored rhodesian as only Alex could create. The previously mentioned flared shank and mount follows a tear drop shaping and that form is accentuated by a delightful ridge on the left that courses from the bit to just shy of the beading on the fore of the bowl. The blasted birdseye on the body is lovely and the same grain on the rim manifests is delightfully defined whorls.
