About This Pipe
The Old Church, with it's amber-and-honey warmth, is Ashton's mellowest and quietest finish, at least to my eye. Combined with one of Ashton's boldest shapes, the broad, jutting bent Bulldog, it serves as something of a counterpoint, "calming down" the composition, and lending this otherwise strutting shape a more amicably reserved aesthetic.
