About This Pipe
There have been collectors for Barling pipes ever since they were first on the market, but recent decades have made the old "pre-transition" pieces so much more desirable. Fans of Barling pipes are [must] prefer strict English Classics, but it's a little surprising that Barling (pre-transition pieces) were only a few shapes. Straight; Biliard; (with the occasional smaller piece like this). While the EXEXEL pipes can be lovely pieces, the grain was always mixed, so I much prefer smaller, more comfortable smokers such as this (129).
