I'm a bit puzzled by all the negative reviews for this tobacco, I've tried many over the years and this is far and away my favourite. Wife loves the smell while I'm puffing , so a win both ways.

This smells like the cherry old timers smoked. Very distinct, very noticeable. So much so that you may need to keep the pouch in a zip lock bag. That may not appeal to some, but I prefer a bold flavor/smell as opposed to something subtle.

...but the fake, chemical kind. It smells like cough syrup or cherry chapstick. I definitely tasted cherry while smoking, and it smoked cool and dry. But the taste is just...well, I won't buy again.

This tobacco was amazing from the minute I opened the package to the bottom of the bowl. The roomnote was fantastic and the smoke was very smooth and delicious. If you are an aromatic fan, this is a must have.

A classic old blend. It produces columns of rich smoke. It's a mellow crowd pleaser type blend. A bit sweet and has a bit of cherry flavor. Smoke it slow and easy.

Not the strongest cherry flavor but a good smoke- I see where people have said that it bites and burns hot but I have not had it to bite me or burn too hot.

This burns hot and will bite you if you are too fast. The smell from the bag and the taste are on the chemical side. If you have nothing else to smoke, you have to choose it, otherwise skip it and look for a better choice.

This has the classic Captain Black quality - good flavor and aroma. Great for after dinner or when you want a change of taste. It's part of my rotation. Works well in a corncob also! Will buy again.

Having smoked the Borkum Cherry at other times this did not compare favorably...I noticed when the pack was opened the smell was like a wax candle smell and the smoke was sadly the same. won't buy again.

I've had an odd mix of really wet and so dry it crumbles. The cherry isn't overpowering and is more on the "dark cherry" side which makes it pleasant. Doesn't bite too badly but it will get you if you don't go slowly.

Cap. Black cherry was like smoking a ludins cough drop. It makes the room smell nice. All I can say if one really wanted to try this tobacco use a pipe that you don't care if it tastes like cherry for a real long time.

te is quite chemical and it aches my tongue, even if it doesn't bite. It just gives it some ache. The cut is okay, but with a noticeable amount of twigs and stems within the pouch. This was an okay over the counter tobacco but just too much tongue bite to deal with. There are too many other better aromatics out there. However for the price, it is worth a try to see how your palate feels about it.

If you need a wonderful smelling tobacco with little flavour, this is for you. The aroma in the pouch is decadent. But when smoked it's very bland. I'll finish what I have, but I won't be re-ordering.
