About This Pipe
I love this piece. It reminds me of some Tsuge Ikebana sitter pipes that I've seen. I think it's a combination of the plateau top, curving shank and forward reaching bowl that just comes together so well here. As for its similarity to Tsuge pipes, I think it's mostly the stain, the stem and the plateau rim that are taking my brain in that visual direction. This really is remarkable work from the young man from Illinois.
