Shell Briar Quaint (5) (2007) Tobacco Pipe

One of the things that I like about Quaints is how they will let a Dunhill artisan explore a bit with the form, take a piece that was originally destined for a standard shape and number that (for whatever reason) simply couldn't be executed in the manner originally intended. and let fly. Having said that, the shape in front you isn't totally unfamiliar to those of us who are partial to the Quaint. I have seen this form, or one very similar to it, used in a minimum of about a dozen Quaints I have seen over the decades. Perhaps Dunhill should assign it a number? Nah, that would take a good deal of the fun out of the idea behind the Quaint.
