About This Pipe
A very modern design, this Askwith Dublin presents us with simple, clean lines with a balanced sense of firmness - not too bold, nor too soft. Proportions-wise, he's apparently taken his cue from the Italian neoclassical style, with an extra-large bowl, and of course extra-large chamber as well. Returning to the theme of balance again, he's done well in handling the palette, staining the cross-grained, lightly sandblasted briar with a warm, understated burnt-umber or sienna, which is tastefully contrasted by the subtle coolness of a pearlescent celluloid mount.
