Sutliff - 503 Heavy English
Quite decent
Course ribbon and beautiful in colour, a hint of sweetness along with a bit of smokiness in the unlit tobacco! The smoke itself is in a good balance, Smyrna is the star of the show and give the whole smoke a unique taste, fragrant and spicy, the Virginia broaden the spectrum and the Latakia is always there to show support! Never heavy as the name suggests, a nice all day smoke.

Peterson - Wild Atlantic 40g
Not too heavy, not too light
Perfect for a all day smoke, full of flavor. The Orientals take the center stage but by no means downplay the smokiness of the Latakia, the natural sweetness of the Virginia always gave a strong support to the smoke and it shows no domination! Very very nice!

Grand Croupier - Boneyard
Nice for the evening
Dominated by the Latakia, it got a little punch in it, if you want some vitamin N, this fits the bill. Lacking a little bit of refinement, but of course, it is a matter of personal taste!

Dunhill - Early Morning Pipe
A very good smoke
To me this is not an English, the stoved Virginia dominate the whole bowl but luckily we have some seasoning from the Orientals, the Latakia, well I can't say I can detect any, there is a hint there certainly! More like a Balkan to me! Apart from all that, I still very much enjoy this lovely Dunhill recipe!

Comoy's - Cask No.1
A typical English
To me, this is an after-dinner smoke, focus on the Cyprian Latakia, the Virginia played the supporting role which gave the smoke a touch of natural sweetness and yes the Orientals is there, highlighting the most interesting part of the recipe, the spicy note is simply fantastic! Enjoyed this one immensely!

Peter Stokkebye - PS701 Virginia
Needs to age it a bit
Beautiful colour and soothing unlit tobacco aroma as the description said, sweet hay-like with a hint of honey, very smooth! A little bland at the moment, I guess you have to give it a bit of time! Very good stuff indeed!

F & K - Sterling Balkan
A solid one
I quite enjoy this, three ingredients played hand in hand together, no particular one outshines each other, quite balance here! I notice some fruit topping which reminds me an aromatic, no, not quite, only a minor topping here! The sweetness of the Virginia forms the tone, along with the smokiness of the jack black Cyprian-Latakia and the mustiness of the Orientals-Turkish is playing its key role, fragrant and in a good balance! Does it live up to the great Balkan blend? I don't have a clue honestly, I never tried that great masterpiece before, but this one is definitely a good puff!

Peter Stokkebye - PS80 Norwegian Blend
Quite Soothing
I'm surprised by its simpleness, only three ingredients, by end up a great smoke, the key is the Virginia, offering the natural sweetness with the help of the Burley, a nice touch, cooling down the temperature, and of course the Orientals gave it a very nice seasoning, you can almost taste it in every puff!

Peter Stokkebye - PS17 English Luxury
Not a bomb I'm afraid
Out of the three Peter Stokkebye English's offerings (17, 52 and 306) at the moment, I think this one (17) is the boldest, focus on the Latakia, assisted by the Mexican Burley to construct the very base of this recipe, the Virginia and the black Cavendish are clearly on the back of the stage, very vague sweetness is showcasing in this mixture and you will get a hint of spiciness from the Orientals, just a hint! And frankly this mixture can't make your head spins but cautiously I suggest you have to put something into your stomach before you enjoy your bowl

Peter Stokkebye - PS306 English Oriental Supreme
One of my favorites
The title sounds diplomatic ai? Well, it is true, I found this one full of flavour and in a very good balance and that is the beauty of this tobacco. First, it praises you with the sweetness of the Virgina, also a hint of Black Cavendish, along with the nuttiness from the burley, occasionally you have a touch of spiciness, from the orientals? I'm not very sure, but that little fragrant mustiness is certainly there. The Latakia is a player, but not dominant! I enjoyed this one immensely! Get yourself a good sized bowl and let the baccy shines through if you like English, I highly recommend this to you!

Peter Stokkebye - PS52 Proper English
Exceeding my expectation
A joyful smoke, this is indeed a very good recipe, to me. the proportion is just right! The unlit aroma is sublime, you are expecting a smoky puff, which never a disappointment! The key player is, of course, the Cyprian Latakia along with the spiciness of the Orientals supported by the sweetness of the Virginia, blended properly, just a great smoke! The bonus is it is visually beautiful, lemon, light brown and jet black fine ribbon, can't ask for more if I'm honest!Let's not forget, the price is fair!

Comoy's - Cask No.4
4.95
Very fresh and young, love the colour and the unlit aroma, just a mild of hay like topping, very tame at this point, certainly needs time to age, the first quarter of the bowl is quite gentle, as it develops deeper in the later stage, the spice comes through and sweetness of the Virginia shines brightly! All in all, a satisfactory puff, for the price I paid, I have absolutely no complaint!
