Cornell & Diehl - Espresso
Where is the coffee?
I was looking for the coffee flavor but the blend reminded me directly Cinnamon Delight (Sutliff). It smoke very well, some caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon are there. Not sweetness, that is very good, however I still miss the espresso. I thought it will be more intense, perhaps is just a small touch. Honestly is not my favorite one.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - #7 Broken Flake
Nice and complex
A very interesting tobacco blend, perhaps a new favorite one. Nice and complex smoke, cold and full of natural aromas. Some flowers, woody, and soft vanilla give some sweetness, but they complement the blend. Highly recommended.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bosun Cut Plug
Complex tradition
This is a very nice traditional and complex blend. Very soft tobacco, with different aromas such as clove, but also some woody and floral flavors. It is a taste acquired over time.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night
Nice Bayou
I came to this blend after tasting Bayou morning with very good impressions. In this blend, the latakia combines very well, incorporating some earthy and soft aromas with round flavors. Recommended.

Cornell & Diehl - Billy Budd Blonde
Interesting blend
The blend is well balanced and is very easy to smoke. The cigar leaf together with perique increase the complexity of the smoke. Great blend.

Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening 2oz
Autumn smoke
Very pleasant smoke, full of different flavors like vanilla, maple, amaretto, cinnamon, and other spices. This is a very recommended blend, however, it was not so special for me at the end. The strength is mild and the taste was not so different from other similar blends. Completely recommended, good quality and elegant blend of tobacco, but for me no the best one.

Cornell & Diehl - Nutty Irishman
Creamy irish whiskey
Nice aroma and smooth creamy flavors at smoke. The cream and the nuts are there, together with some liquor but not strong. Nice and mild smoke, not complex but with different aromas and fires very well.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Broken Scotch Cake
Interesting Virginia blend
The smoke is very smooth, and pleasant but not so different to other flavors from Virginias. However, it is very interesting after some burns. It has some natural sweetness together with grass and citrus aromas. I recommend it for sure, however, it is mild and perhaps no so complex.

Peter Stokkebye - PS303 Peaches & Creme
Sweet and creamy peaches
Very intense aroma of sweet preaches in the bulk. At smoke, it is a very tasty, smooth, and pleasant creamy aroma. The Virginias are present in the blend, with some grass and citrus flavors. It is not soo sweet as the first smell in the bulk and it improves in a long smoke. Not for everyday tobacco but I recommend it.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Elegant aromatic blend
I was waiting to taste Lane Limited - 1 - Q and the end of summer seems to be a nice period for this. It is an elegant aromatic blend. Vanilla and caramel flavors are well expressed in the smoke and some other aromas from Virginia, like grass, sugar, or citrus, are present. The moisture was a little high so it was necessary to dry it a little bit, but it smoked well. A recommended aromatic blend for a long and relaxing smoke.

Cornell & Diehl - Mountain Camp
Nice english blend
Mountain camp is a very tasty English blend. The mixture works very well and reminds me of another C&D English blend, like plantation evening. The latakia and orientals complement very well the tobacco mixture. It smokes very well in a long smoke and like the name, works completely well for walking or an evening in nature.

Sutliff - Cinnamon Delight
Smooth but pleasant
Cinnamon delight is a very smooth and pleasant tobacco. However cinnamon is not the main flavor in the blend. There are notes of caramel, perhaps some vanilla and coffee too, and some kind of toffee aroma surrounds the blend, creating a very nice smoke. Perhaps the moisture is a little high, but it doesn't need too much attention in the pipe. Smokes very well and the nicotine level is not high at all. Recommended for a long and relaxed smoking evening.

Cornell & Diehl - Maple Cavendish
Good maple aromatic
Maple Cavendish from Cornell & Diehl, a very nice aromatic blend with lots of maple flavor. At different to other maple-based aromatics, this one has a notorious maple smell, and the taste is very smooth and elegant. Some vanilla also is present, some kind of liquor but not invasive, and maple is the predominant aroma without abuse in the sweetness. It burns very well without biting the tongue. Recommended for a long and relaxed smoke.

Arango - Balkan Supreme
Supreme Balkan indeed
My first impression was "it is very intense for me", but after a while, I like it a lot. It is a very intense aroma of a supreme exponent of a Balkan mixture. With strong aromas, nice smoke, and good temperature, invite you to a complex and nice smoke. Good for an evening with nature or reading a book in a quiet room.

Mac Baren - Mixture Scottish Blend
Nice blend
Interesting mixture of different blends. Very sweet in my impression but the overall is very fresh and with a nice smoke. Very pleasant for a long quiet smoke evening.

Cornell & Diehl - Black Gold Maple
Nice aromatic
I was looking for an aromatic full of maple flavors but I found something a little more complex than that. The mixture has different aromas like maple, liquor, honey, sugar, and some soft coffee. But honestly, some of them just disappear in the smoke. The sugar is also quite intense, not overwhelming but it is always present, and I was looking for something like that but with maple. Anyway, it smokes well, a little hot but manageable. I will continue tasting this for sure, but not as everyday tobacco.

Cornell & Diehl - Plantation Evening
Nice and soft English blend
I was looking for a mild English blend and this was recommended, and for sure it was the correct one. A soft English blend with different notes of latakia and oriental tobacco creates a nice atmosphere, together with perique and Virginia. Nice aromas at the mouth and nose, with the characteristics of English blends but with a soft intensity. For a long smoke on a relaxed evening, for sure.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Morning
Very nice Vaper
My first approach was following the name that invites me to smoke on a Sunday morning with very nice results. The combinations of Virginia create a nice basis for the perique in the blend, very well balanced. Some pepper and typical Virginias flavors can be found in the nose. A very pleasant and clean mixture of Virginias with perique. Recommended.

Peter Stokkebye - PS17 English Luxury
To smoke anytime
English Luxury is a smooth and elegant English blend. The mixture of different tobacco invites you to smoke a medium-complex but relaxing blend. The latakia and oriental tobacco complement the Virginias with extra aroma and robustness. I notice some grass and sweetness in the smoke, together with latakia, creating a blend well balanced. It is possible to smoke every hour.

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Evening Flake
For the evening for sure
Nice smoke and aromas from these Virginia/Perique flakes. The aromas from Virginia gave some sweetness and citrus taste. The Perique also contributes to the blend and combined works very well. Some other natural aromas are present and can be good for a long smoke. The moisture was good and burns very well. For the evening can be a good choice.

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Morning Blend
Interesting sweetness
A very nice aromatic blend. It burns very well and invites you to smoke slowly. The flavors of bourbon and several sweet notes in the smoke are characteristics of this blend. However, the sweetness is very strong and can be somehow boring after a while. I like it, but just from time to time.

John Aylesbury - English Mixture 100g
A very soft English mixture
This is a very soft English mixture from John Aylesbury, the German collective. It smokes very well, some flavors are more strong than others. In my opinion, the latakia is very smooth and somehow is there. The blend, in general, is fine, but very light in comparison to other English mixtures. Perhaps it can be a good experience with light latakia and oriental tobacco.

Rattray's - Sir William 100g
Nice experience
Strong flavors, the whisky is there, as also Burley and Kentucky. The smoke is warm, and the temperature goes fast easily. But after a while is not so complex, or at least in my case, it was a little bored at the end. I was quite expected of this blend, perhaps too much. After all, is not one of my favorites.

Davidoff - Danish Mixture 50g
Nice Davidoff
First time with Davidoff and it was a very nice experience. The Danish mixture is very mild, it allowed you to enjoy a long and quiet smoke. The aromas from the tin are very pleasant, some honey, walnut, and some kind of chocolate. The Virginias are the most predominant tobaccos in the blend, and the mixture creates a complex and pleasant smoke. It burns very well and doesn't bite at all. Nice experience and now I want to try other blends from Davidoff.

Peterson - Old Dublin 50g
A must-try
A nice and smooth mixture of Virginia's, Black cavendish, and Latakia. Each tobacco complements the other to create a well-balanced blend. The latakia is not strong at the smoke level, even when you can smell it strongly from the tin. The nicotine level is fine, the smoke doesn't bite at all, and smoked well for a long smoke. A must-try for sure.

McConnell - Shakespeare 50g
Nice
Very pleasant Virginias invite you to perceive different aromas, like wood and floral notes. It smokes very well and at the right temperature, it burns on its own. The smoke sensation is pleasant also, for a long smoke is very comfortable and not boried at all. I did not perceive any tongue bite at all.

McConnell - Scottish Cake 50g
Waiting for more
Second Robert McConnell I test, and as the 1st one, it was a nice surprise. I thought it will be sweeter because of the name, but it was very pleasant to smoke. The kentucky and perique are there increasing the strength of the blend, and obtaining a well-balanced tobacco. It burns very well and produces a nice and pleasant long smoke.

Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Highly recommended
It was a surprise, at the beginning a little skeptical but after the first fire, everything was a full sensation of balanced aromas and enjoyable smoke. Very intense Latakia in the tin, but very pleasant to smoke. Highly recommended.

Vauen - Auenland 50g
Very nice
Nice presentation and intense aromas at the opening of the tin. Very pleasant smoke with aromatic and creamy flavors, but not invasive. The smell in the room was very nice. For a morning or relaxed smoke, it can work very well.

Ashton - Artisan's Blend 50g
Recommended
After reading some reviews and the description of the blend I was very excited to taste this one, and I got what they mention and much more. The blend is very well-balanced, the mixture of tobaccos and their particular flavors are in every smoke. It burns very well and I got a complex and very pleasant smoke. Completely recommended.

McConnell - Scottish Blend 50g
One of the best
Very pleasant smoke of complex and elegant tobacco, with round flavors, and harmonious notes of Latakia. The moisture of the mixture is correct and very well balanced. You can obtain a nice slow smoke without any bite at all. Waiting for new tins available!

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
A must-taste
I came to Capstan Navy cut as a Tolkien fan and also looking for this well-recommended tobacco. I found a very pleasant mixture of Virginias that invite you to a very nice smoke. The tobacco moisture is in perfect condition in the tin. The flakes are full of aromas from mature Virginias that put a little more complexity into the blend. The smoke invites you to keep a long slow smoke. Completely recommended and a must-taste.
