Savinelli's Autograph line offers pipes that fall outside of the Italian firm's usual shape chart, and are handcrafted by the workshop's most experienced artisans. Those artisans are given complete creative freedom when shaping the line's pipes, resulting in charming pieces like this bent Billiard. This piece sees a tall, thick-walled bowl posed at the fore of an upturned rectangular shank and a demurely curved saddle stem. The rim's rugged plateau lends a touch of organic texture to the composition, while the shank's geometric angles provide some structural rigidity to the shape's profile. A warm smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights gorgeous flame grain across the bowl and shank alike.
