Smoke Rings: Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge
Ahoy, everyone. I am Tyler "Redbeard" Caldwell, and today I want to tell you a little story about a ship that sailed across a vast sea, better known as the cigar industry. That ship was called ADVentura. Learn more about the past releases from ADVentura and the newest release, the Blue Eyed Jacks Revenge, a delectable cigar with medium body and creamy, floral, and citrus notes, available on-site now.
Note: The following transcription has been edited for clarity and brevity.
ADVentura's Beginnings
This collaborative brand between Henderson Ventura, the co-blender at Tabacalera William Henderson in the Dominican Republic, and Marcel Knobel, a Swiss cigar retailer, lounge owner, and sommelier, all with the help of Caldwell Cigars' Robert Caldwell centers around the theme of seafaring exploration. Complex and refined, ADVentura's portfolio stays true to the brand's joyful sense of adventure.
They started with The Explorer, setting across the sea, trying to create its own path. After that came The Navigator, following the path The Explorer set out, but looking to reach new lands and become a landmark of its own. Then came The Conqueror, and with a name like that, you guessed it, it came to conquer and dominate the entire scene.
Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge
Sometimes stories are made up, sometimes stories are fantasy. Sometimes stories just aren't believable. But the truth is that ADVentura's products speak for themselves. Last year, ADVentura released a newer blend known as the Barbarroja's Invasion. It was their way of introducing the next chapter of their brand story. This year, I am very happy to introduce the next part of that chapter: Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge.
Blue Eyed Jack's Revenge comes in three different sizes: Robusto, Toro, and Corona. The wrapper is Mexican San Andrés Colorado, which you don't normally find when you think of San Andrés wrapper. The binder and the fillers utilize tobacco from the Dominican Republic. The interesting thing about the raw tobacco that they use in the filler is that they've all been aged for five years before being rolled. Once the cigars are rolled, every cigar sits for a minimum of 60 days to enhance the aging process, letting the tobacco marinate together.
This cigar has a solid medium body. As for flavor, you're going to get floral, citrusy, and creamy notes, a little bit of a black coffee, woodsy, and cedary profile. It's an incredible blend. We're really excited to have ADVentura's newest release here at Smokingpipes. Please let us know once you get 'em in your hands. Let us know what you think of them.
