Planta - Anno MMX (After Dinner Mixture)
Boil your tongue off.
So I had been recommended this by my father, who had said he had heard great things about this tobacco, though had not tried it himself as he is not into aromatics. As he had heard such rave reviews, I ordered a larger amount than I normally would when trying a tobacco I am unfamiliar with. I regret that decision. When I received this, I let it sit a couple of weeks after jarring it, and loaded up a pipe. Instant tongue bite! I tried this in various ways. Tried different backing. Different pipe shapes. Briar vs Meerschaum. Even tried my clay pipe. I tried drying it for different amounts of time. I tried putting it in the oven on a low heat. And after all that failed, and it still biting me and tasting of nothing but hot steam, I crammed it in a cabinet for 9 months. Nothing. Nothing has improved this, and I would not wish this on my worst enemy. Even my father, who doesn't enjoy aromatics, gave it a try, and his advise was to throw it in the trash which I did.

Very interesting.
Wasn't sure what to expect when reading the description of this, but I was curious, so ordered a tin. I was actually pleased with this one. It has a lovely taste to it. Has a excellent wine taste, and a good smell.
Dan Tobacco - Devil's Holiday 50g
Best Berry Flavor
I have tried several berry flavored tobaccos, and have always had the complaint that they burn hot and tastes chemically, or tastes like some one who had never tasted a berry would make once described a berry flavor. This is not one of those. I was very surprised when I tried this, and got a nice, in your face berry taste without all the tongue bite. I am planning to buy a bigger package of this.

My Favorite
Easily my favorite tobacco, which makes me sad, as it is devilishly difficult to get my hands on. It has a excellent chocolate taste without burning hot.

Must keep around
Has a excellent chocolate and marshmallow taste! Its a bit like having a smore, or a hot chocolate with marshmallows. Its smells lovely too. I plan to keep a stock of this around.
Cornell & Diehl - Corn Cob Pipe and A Button Nose 2oz
Not as good as hoped.
I was excited to get this holiday blend, as the one I had gotten before was one of my favorites. For me, this one was underwhelming. It is tasteless when you first open it. Its not so bad once you let it sit for a few weeks to a few months. But it is not as good as hoped.
Peter Stokkebye - PS312 Toasted Burley
Just what I wanted
Love the taste of purley, and this delivers when I just want a taste of straight forward burley. a little nutty, a little sweet. Very satisfying.
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake 50g
My occasional treat.
Its hard to come by, but man is it good. It has a nice chocolate taste and smokes very well.
Low Country - Rum
Sort of disappointed
So, I wanted to like it. When I loaded up the first pipe, it is bitey, to say the least. So I dried it a bit, see if that helped. Which is did. It has a alright burley taste, but the rum mostly went away.
Lane Limited - BCA
Good black Cavendish
This is one of the best black cavendishes that I've had. Has a nice, smooth, sweet taste.
Sutliff - Christmas Spice
Christmas Cheer
Going to keep this one around I think. Has a nice taste, cool smoke. There is just enough cinnamon to compliment the caramel.
Cornell & Diehl - Latakia
Its Latakia
Definately Latakia, had a nice punch and a strong taste. Bought to mix with some boring tobacco I had and it fixed them nicely.
Lane Limited - RHQ-3
Subtle sweet.
I wouldn't smoke it too fast, or it will burn hot, but I like the taste. It doesn't have that strong chemical taste a lot of berry flavors have. I have smoked through most of what I ordered and will probably get some more soon.
Lane Limited - Hazelnut
I like it
Has a sweetened hazelnut taste to it. smokes well. Not especially bitey. Not the strongest flavor but its still enjoyable.
Lane Limited - Buttered Rum
Smokable
It isn't bad. I was just hoping for a stronger taste. The taste you do get is a nice one. Just a little underwhelming at times.
Dan Tobacco - Roper's Roundels 100g
Plan to keep a tin around
I am a new smoker, and have been trying a lot of different things. Something about this called to me, and I decided to try it. It did not disappoint. It has a nice, subtle sweet, creamy taste. It has a decent anout of strength to it too.
Cornell & Diehl - Jolly Old Saint Nicholas 2oz
Can of Holiday Cheer
I grabbed this up for the Holidays, figuring I would give it a try, though unsure how it would come across in the end. I was pleasantly surprised! a orange liqueur taste comes through enough, but isn't overbearing, and just enough ginger. Even my father, who is not a big aromatic person, enjoys it a lot.
Low Country - Peach
Let sit for a while
When we first got this, we were impressed by the taste, BUT it was tongue bite in a bowl. We weren't sure it was going to be especially smokeable, but decided we would stuff it in a jar for a while, and see if some age improved things. Believe it or not, it did. The flavor mellowed a little but comes through clear, and it lost a lot of its bite.

Really tastes like smores
When we first read this, we thought, nah, there is no way it tastes like chocolate and marshmallows, but boy did it live up to it! This has quickly shot to our favorite list, and we plan to buy a bit of it. It has a excellent flavor, and isn't wet.
Drucquer & Sons - The Devil's Own 100g
Wonderful surprise
This is one of mine and my father's favorites. It has a destinct, strong taste, with a surprisingly sweet tone with it. I really enjoy it, and we intend to keep it around. I would recommend jarring it though. It starts out dry, and will quickly dry out too much.
CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Very pleasant
This one is a nice, sweet smoke. you get a nice Irish cream taste. Don't have any problem with it being bitey or anything.
Sutliff - Blue Danube 1.5oz
Dry before smoking.
This is wet, So I warn to dry it first. After drying it a lot, its a decent, tasty smoke. I would rate higher if it didn't smoke to wet and warm.

Most reorder
This is one of the better Chocolate and Vanilla I have had. Nice dry smoke, doesn't threaten your tongue with the fires of hell like some. Has a good smooth taste. Liked it enough that I blew through it quicker than expected.

Was hoping for more
Its alright, but I was honestly hoping for a little more taste. Its also quit wet, which if you aren't careful will quickly result in wicked tongue bite.

Decent, but
This has a nice fruit taste that I enjoy, the tobacco tastes nice, but man is it wet. This doesn't have the strongest flavors, and requires quit a but of drying before, and be sure to smoke it slow.
Cornell & Diehl - Strawberry Cavendish
Chemical Strawberry?
Not too wet, but I suggest giving a little bit of a dry. Smells nice, and does have a strawberry taste, but there is a little bit of a aftertaste I don't much like. Looses some of the strawberry taste toward the end of the pipe. Its smokable, and worth a try, just not for me.
Cornell & Diehl - Nutty Irishman
Nutty and mild
This is a mild smoke. Has a nutty taste, and a bit of a herby tone to it. I dried for a short period and the taste improves. Love the smell of it.
Cornell & Diehl - Mocha
Yum
I like this one. Have to dry it first, but has a nice taste and smokes well once you do. It is a mild smoke. Wouldn't suggest it if you are looking for something with a kick.
Cornell & Diehl - Dark Chocolate
Pretty good
This one had a better chocolate taste than some. Has a nice taste to it. a bit on the wet side, but nothing some drying can't cure. burns well, not very bitty.
Cornell & Diehl - Berry Good
Berry Okay.
Was hoping for more of the vanilla and raspberry taste. Comes through more in the smell. Not bad, but not as good as hoped. Its a okay smoke.
Dan Tobacco - Treasures of Ireland: Shamrock 50g
Love the smoke and taste.
This is one of my new favorites. Its a nice dry smoke, and has a wonderful taste. Everyone else here likes the smell of it too. Going to keep this around.
Cornell & Diehl - Berries & Cream
Its alright.
To start, its so very wet. Had to dry it before getting a decent smoke. The berry or cream flavor doesn't come through as much as one might hope, but it tastes alright. There are better ones out there in my opinion, but its not complete garbage.
Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Excellent taste
Molto Dolce was recommended to me, and is one of my favorites right now. It has the taste of that caramel coming through strong, with a hint of honey and vanilla. It is a little on the moister side, but hardly the worst I have ran into. Nothing a little drying before smoking didn't fix.
Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Not what I expected
By itself, this is one of the most boring tobaccos I have tried. It having Latakia and Perique, I was expecting a little bit more of a kick, but you only get a mild flavor one in a while. Otherwise, I got close to no taste out of this. I ended up mixing a healthy bit of latakia into it to make it smokable. Its only real potential might be to blend with other tobaccos.
