Half and Half - Half and Half 7oz
It's Very OK
I know this is a "timeless" blend, but it's not for me. It's not aromatic enough to be pleasant room note, but it's similarly not strong enough to have good tobacco flavor. For me, it's something in between an aro and a regular tobacco.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Black 3.5oz
Wonderfully Complex Aroma
Taste is mild tobacco and vanilla with a hint of dark fruit. Room note is very complex: vanilla forward bit with a rasin-like sweetness, and a melange of spice like cardamom and nutmeg. A whisper of dark fruit somewhere in there as well. A pleasant smoke for indoors or outdoors.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Regular 3.5oz
A Delightful Tobacco
Think sweet vanilla and chocolate in both flavor and room note. It's a wonderful smoke and people will love the smell of it.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Red 3.5oz
My Go-to for Cherry
This is my go-to if I want a cherry tobacco. It has a good flavor with a slightly tart hit. Room note is very pleasant. Sweet cherry that won't offend anybody. My wife enjoys the scent of it as do the neighbors.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Gold 3.5oz
Good Flavor and Decent Room Note
Flavor is very smooth and creamy. A good vanilla flavor mixed with the tobacco. Room note is a pleasant vanilla that has a very subtle hint of fruit. It's a good smoke for Flavor, but 7 Seas Royal and Regular surpass it in room note.

Mac Baren - Cherry Ambrosia 3.5oz
A Pleasant Experience
Taste is tart but smooth, with a good creamy flavor. Room note is a pleasant cherry that isn't overbearing. It's a good cherry tobacco and worth a try, even if it's not my favorite cherry. I like 7 Seas Red better, but that's more of a true cherry tobacco.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Royal 3.5oz
Pleasant Smell and Taste
Smooth and creamy vanilla flavor, and a room note that is second to none. Smells like sweet vanilla, with a subtle plum note. My wife let's me smoke this indoors, and the neighbors love when I smoke it outside.

Cornell & Diehl - Pirate Kake 2oz
Really Good When You Want a Lat-Bomb
I tend to like latakia in moderate doses. Blends like Proper English, Mountain Camp, etc. with a medium level of latakia hit the spot for me. But every once in a while I crave nothing but that smokey goodness you can only get with a "lat-bomb". And this is the blend. The latakia is right in your face, yet it's smoothed out with the burley and orientals. Flavorful and super relaxing.

Cornell & Diehl - Engine #99
A Great Blend
Very similar to Mountain Camp, but the latakia is more pronounced. I could smoke this cool burning, bite free blend all day every day.

Cornell & Diehl - Mountain Camp
Smokey Mountain Majesty
I really love this blend. The latakia is present but not overbearing. You can get the nuances of the orientals and virginias with hints of perique poking through. All the while the latakia satisfies in both buttery flavor and smokey aroma. It is quickly becoming my favorite blend.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night 8oz
Flavorful, Cool Smoking and No Bite
This is my new favorite blend. It's spicy, full of complex flavors, has a robust taste, smokes cool and has no bite. I absolutely love this blend.

Peter Stokkebye - PS315 Black Coffee
Needs More Coffee
I was really hoping for this stuff to be like a rich cup of black coffee. Unfortunately, to me it was more like a cup of cream and sugar with some coffee added in. That said, it's pleasant and smells good. It just doesn't have that nice richness of coffee I was hoping for.

Arango - Balkan Supreme
No Need to Search for Balkan Sobranie Anymore!
I read a number of reviews that stated that this was basically a bulk version of the hard-to-get Balkan Sobranie. Like you probably are, I was highly skeptical. But, I have to say, the reviews are right. This stuff is full of flavor and incense-like aroma. An exceptional smoke.

Sutliff - Crumble Kake Virginia Perique 1.5oz
A Good VaPer
The tobacco comes in slices of crumble cake that can easily be rubbed out or even folded and stuffed. After having smoked nearly the entire tin, I can say that I do have some issues keeping it lit. It has a wonderful raisin-like aroma in the tin, and when burned retains some of that aroma. Flavor was full, but the perique didn't stand out as much as I would personally like. It has more sweetness than your typical VaPer, and is very enjoyable.

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East 2oz
Rich and Pleasant
For having 50% latakia, this blend was surprisingly pleasant to me (I like measured doses of latakia). It's rich and flavorful, and the smoke has an incense-like quality. I highly recommend this blend.

Peter Stokkebye - PS52 Proper English
Made Me Fall In Love With English Blends Again
For a long while English blends kind of fell out of favor for me. Once in a while I'd have some Comoy's Cask 1 or something similar, but I'd soon get homesick for my beloved VaPer blends. However, on a whim, I ordered some of this and it has renewed my love of English blends. The quality is in a league of its own and I can taste the complexities of the VAs and Orientals even over the Latakia. I'm finding myself more and more drawn to this blend, and less and less homesick for my VaPers.

Five Brothers - Five Brothers 1.25oz
A Really Good Straight Burley
This is really good if you're looking for something that isn't complicated and just has a good old fashioned tobacco taste. Out of the pouch it has a really nice dark plum aroma. The cut is VERY thin, like pencil shavings. It is on the dry but very serviceable side. Flavor is cigarette like: Just a nice tobacco flavor. It also gives your tongue a spicy tingle from the nicotine. Burns VERY cool without any bite. However, it also burns very fast. I smoke it straight for those days I just want a little oomph from my tobacco. I also mix it in with aromatics to give them more body and tobacco flavor.

Tabac De La Semois - La Brumeuse 3.5oz
Like a good cup of coffee
This stuff is really good. I agree with the description that it's cigar like without being like a cigar. To me it's like a really good cup of coffee full of cocoa and earthy notes.

Iwan Ries - Three Star Blue 7oz
Intriguing, but...
This is at once an intriguing but frustrating tobacco. I'm a few bowls into the tin and still don't know what to make of it. First, the tin note is very unique. Think grape soda. The tobacco was a little on the dry side right out of the tin, but looked amazing. Lots of rustic cuts, bits and broken flakes that all look and feel of the highest quality, and no stickiness like you might expect from an aromatic... which might be because this isn't so much an aromatic as it is an English cross-over blend. The room note was mild, but not arromatic at all. My wife remarked that it was "fragrant" but not really arromatic. It will still put off those who don't like smoke. The taste was also non-arromatic. I could not detect any flavorings when smoking; I just got the tobacco. And the tobacco is okay. Rather complex but mild, though I was getting some unpleasant bitterness. It also bit a little, and was hard to keep lit and get a satisfying amount of smoke out of. I don't know. As a cross-over style English I think it works, though I'd say there are better blends out there. As an arromatic it does not work at all. The jury is still out on this one as far as I'm concerned.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - B. J. Long Regular Tapered Pipe Cleaners (100 pack)
My Favorite Cleaners
I love these cleaners. They do a great job and leave behind no fluff. I use these when my pipes need a good scrubbing out.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - B. J. Long Regular Pipe Cleaners (100 pack)
Great Standard Cleaners
When you just need to swab out your pipe of moisture, these are great. No bristles, so they won't "deep clean" but I like to have them on hand to give my pipes a quick swab if I'm smoking something that's producing a little too much moisture. They also don't leave any fluff behind.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Red 3.5oz
If You Like Cherry...A Lot
I don't usually smoke cherry tobaccos, but when I do, it's 7 Seas Red. To be honest, it is cherry overload. And it ghosts your pipe REAL bad. But, when I want cherry (which isn't often), this is my go-to. It does bite, so smoke slow. And probably get yourself a cob to devote only to this and other cherry blends.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Regular
Good But Not Great
Coming from MacBaren, you already know this is going to smell amazing. But for me, the flavors were a little too subdued and it did bite a little. Still, it was decent, just not outstanding.

Sutliff - 1M
Kind of Artificial
I tend to enjoy vanilla aros, but 1M just doesn't do it for me. It smells great, but it has an off flavor to me. It tastes like artificial vanilla. Also, it was really hard to get any tobacco flavor while smoking. It was one of those "tastes like warm steam" type of aros.

Lane Limited - RLP-6
Great Aromatic That Lets the Tobacco Flavor Through
Any time I smoke an aromatic and it fills the room with great aroma while still allowing me to taste the tobacco, I feel like I've hit a home run. So it is with RLP-6. Smells great but I can still get the flavor of the tobacco. The description says this has vanilla and chocolate, but to be honest, I do not detect chocolate. I get vanilla and dark fruits. Either way, it's a winner.

BriarWorks - Bacon Old Fashioned 2oz
A Confusing Concoction
I had heard great things about this blend so I wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, I found the flavors a confusing mess. I did get some bacony flavor, as well as some sort of alcohol flavor (and maybe some harsh orange flavor?), but it mingled with a musty sort of flavored smoke. I just did not like it at all.

BriarWorks - Country Lawyer 2oz
Surprisingly, Not To My Liking
Prior to taking up the pipe, I was an avid cigar smoker. I would have thought I would love this blend since it has cigar leaf, but cigar leaf just does not translate well to the pipe for me. I found this to produce plenty of musty smoke, but the flavor was uninspiring. It was okay, but can't say I'd order more.

Cornell & Diehl - Green River Vanilla
Great Flavor abd Clouds of Smoke
This, without a doubt, is the goopiest, moistest tobacco I have ever encountered. That said, I'm an impatient fellow and loaded the black slop into my pipe without drying. Surprisingly, it burned just fine with very little steam or goop in my pipe! It actually smoked incredibly dry and cool for how wet it was, and it produced the most smoke I've ever gotten from any tobacco. Literally clouds of white, flavorful smoke. The vanilla is present but lets the flavor of the burley tobacco shine. This is a hit for me.

Rattray's - Hal O' The Wynd 100g
Can't Go Wrong
This is one of the best VaPers you'll try. It's slightly hard to come across, so cherish it when you get it. It's got kick, flavor and no bite. Nothing not to love here if your a fan of VaPer blends.

Comoy's - Cask No.5 3.5oz
Almost a Frog Morton Cellar Replacement
Lamenting the loss of Frog Morton's Cellar, I've turned to this. It's nowhere near the perfect match, but it is in the ballpark. Has that nice whisky essence like FMC, but is missing the latakia. Still, it's a nice smoke.

Comoy's - Cask No.1 3.5oz
Great English Blend
I'm usually more of a VaPer guy, but once in a while I loves me a good english blend and this always hits the spot. There is something that borders on perfect about this blend. It's flavorful, smokes cool and for being called "Double English" the latakia is not overpowering.

A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Good, But Something Artificial About It
This is a good VaPer, but like most tobaccos that are not from C&D, I could detect something artificial in it. Maybe some slight artificial flavors and / or propolene glycol.

Cornell & Diehl - Sunday Picnic 2oz
Good, But Bites
I was surprised that I didn't like this more. I am a huge fan of VaPers, but with the addition of the Izmir it took something away and replaced it with a little bite. It was good, just not great.

Captain Earle's - Mystic Blend 2oz
Intriguing
This is a fun blend. Not only do you get the joy of working with the crumble cake, but the tobaccos are very intriguing. Each time I smoke it, I get a slightly different experience. It's always rich and flavorful, but different flavors seem to come through each time I smoke it. I really enjoy it.

Cornell & Diehl - Chenet's Cake 2oz
Love It
I am a huge fan of Bayou Morning, and this tobacco was very similar, but with a more balanced flavor. Also the crumble cake format is always a pleasure.

Cornell & Diehl - Three Friars
Flat And Boring
I had high hopes for this blend, but sadly it fell short for me. I don't know why, but for me it was very flat and boring in flavor. I much prefer Haunted Bookshop.

Orlik - Dark Strong Kentucky 50g
Good, But Something Artificial About It
This was an enjoyable smoke, but like many brands, I detected something artificial in the flavor. I mostly smoke C&D, so I am quite sensitive when there are ingredients other than all natural tobacco. This has that mildly "something is just not 100% natural" taste / aroma to it.

G. L. Pease - Gaslight 2oz
Simply Amazing
I don't normally go for latakia blends, much less super heavy latakia blends like this. However, there is something very special about this dense, dark plug. I smoke this on those perfect nights when I just want to kick back, relax and be alone with my thoughts.

Two Friends - Redwood 8oz
Sweet, Balanced and Strong in Flavor
This has a nice sweetness and flavor. Very relaxing and pleasing to smoke. It's "almost" a good replacement for McClelland's now bygone Virginia Woods.

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 2oz
Sweet, Nutty and Satisfying
I really enjoy Briar Fox. It has a sweet and nutty flavor with just the right amount of nicotine kick. It burns well, and the crumble cake format is fun to work with.

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop 8oz
Great Flavor And Strength
This is my go-to when I want a little extra flavor and kick out of my pipe. I find it has a nice balance of traditional tobacco flavors. It also provides a nice nicotine kick when I want something stronger than the usual fair.

Cornell & Diehl - Pasha's Dream
Literally Smells Like An Old Diaper
I'm not sure what's going on with this blend. Maybe the 2oz I ordered have been sitting for a long time (it was very, very dried out). But, upon opening the bag I was hit with a terrible odor that I can only describe as an old baby diaper that had been sitting for a while. It stinks so bad that I don't even want it in my pipe, and I won't smoke it. Maybe it tastes great and when burned it smells like the vanilla and caramel I was promised. But out of the bag, it literally smells horrific.

Cornell & Diehl - Old College
Thought This Was An Aromatic?
Okay, so the description says, "a delightful fragrance for the crowd." Mine has absolutely no aromatic qualities aside from the latakia. I have a feeling the 2oz I ordered were old, because it was VERY dry (to the point of being crumbly as dry leaves), and I think the aromatic essences had long dissipated. That left this being just an okay English blend for me.

Cornell & Diehl - Vanilla Cavendish
Tastes Like Tobacco, Smells Like an Aromatic. A Winner.
It's really hard for me to find an aromatic I enjoy. They always smell wonderful but leave a lot to be desired in the flavor and smoking enjoyment department. This blend, however, is a firm winner. It has a nice tobacco flavor so I don't feel like I'm just sipping warm steam like I usually do on aromatics, and it delivers a really pleasing, vanilla room note. Tastes like tobacco, smells like an aro. That's a winner for me!

Lane Limited - HGL
An Aromatic I Can Enjoy
To me, 99% of all aromatics basically taste like warm steam. Sure they smell great, but I can't get any pleasure out of smoking them. This stuff, however, actually tastes like tobacco! This is a winner in my book, because not only does it smell good, but it actually has a nice tobacco flavor. I only give it 4 stars because it does tend to bite if I smoke it too fast.

Cornell & Diehl - Yorktown
Delicious and Very Little Bite for a Straight Va
I really enjoy this blend. It's sweet and a little nutty, very smooth with a creamy smoke. It's very flavorful, and for a straight Virginia blend, it has very little bite. This is my new favorite blend.

Cornell & Diehl - Bailey's Front Porch
Great Balance and Flavor
Very pleasant both in flavor and room note. I love the fact that the lattakia does not overpower everything and you get the flavors of all the tobacco's.

Cornell & Diehl - Oriental Silk 2oz
Good Flavor
Smooth and flavorful, but smokes a little hot and has some bite.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Morning
My Favorite Tobacco
I love this blend. It stays lit, smokes cool, and has tons of flavor. It has become my go-to tobacco.
