About This Pipe
Having just returned from the latest CPCC Show, and having just had the opportunity to see dozens of examples of some of the finest work produced by the likes of Sixten Ivarsson and Jorn Micke (to name but a few), it's freshly apparent how some of the old Danish masters so deeply influenced the shaping aesthetic of Tsuge and their Ikebana line of hand made pipes. Here the gentle degree of sloping at the rim and the tilt and cut of the bowl, paired to a precisely marked shank transition that juts up and arches out simply echoes the legendary carvers and their recognizable style. This is a fascinating offering from Tsuge, superbly balanced, divine in the hand, and of a very nice grain.
