Shapes like this bent Billiard are what pop into my mind when I think of Peterson. From the modest size and tubular feel of the bowl to the wide shank and stem, the '338' is pretty indicative of the entire aesthetic sensibility of the Irish pipe making firm. That's probably why I own so many Peterson pipes. The piece is really lovely as part of the 'Dalkey' series, which is a shade darker in stain than anything from their 'Aran' line and features an orange ring inlay couched between twin nickel bands.
