About This Pipe
The delightfully robust bowl of the '68' is certainly a focal point on this design, as the 3/4 bent shank is much slimmer than what Peterson incorporates on most other shapes. A fine contrast stain highlights the quality grain of the briar, and is itself contrasted by a flashing nickel army mount. The push stem configuration makes for easy cleaning and dis-assembly, a strategy utilized by WWI soldiers who fitted spent bullet casings on the end of the shanks of their own briars.
