Though the gesture and flow seen in the organic asymmetry of this Blowfish's stem, shank, and bowl immediately brings to mind certain Japanese approaches to the same shape, there's a much firmer, bolder feel to this J&J's manner of line and form. It makes for a distinct reinterpretation, one which is fittingly complemented by the patch of rugged plateau bared by the bowl's left flank.
