Perhaps the most surprising and delightful pipe of this most recent collection of new works from Danish pipe maker Benni Jorgensen is the sandblasted Acorn right here. The bowl, bulbous, plump, and perfectly rounded at the rim, is attractively mesmerizing and turns flawlessly into a short, tear shaped shank with corresponding seams. I love that rather than having chose to blast the shank facing Benni instead opted to leave it smooth and polished; it's a slight touch that adds tremendous class to the piece. It's a simply elegant composition. And somehow this pipe is less than $300. Stupendous.
