About This Pipe
Here Jimmy Craig presents us with an extra-large canvas upon which to work his sandblasting magic, in the form of a solid straight Billiard whose proportions are on par with what we'd typically expect from a larger piece of the the Italian school, albeit drawn with the English's sharper lines. As you can see, he showed the briar little mercy in the blasting cabinet, with the result being a wild and lively ring grain brought out with deep texture.
